Meadows Ranches Friesians is located in scenic Southern Utah between Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. We are dedicated to breeding and importing high quality Friesian Horses suitable for all disciplines, and have wonderful purebred young stock available here at Meadows Ranches Friesians for you to choose from. Please visit our Sales Pages where you will find, not only our own beautiful babies, but also a selection of other Friesian horses available for import. Apart from young stock bred from our own imported Star and Studbook mares we are also able to help you find the Friesian horse of your dreams through our contact in the Netherlands. If you are unable to find just what you are looking for on our Sales Pages, just let us know exactly what you are looking for, whether it be a horse for breeding, driving, dressage or pleasure, and we will follow up by sending you pictures and complete information on suitable horses.
Once you have found your perfect Friesian horse the process of importation begins. It starts with a stringent veterinary examination, including blood tests and x-rays to ensure that your horse is in optimum health. The results are then carefully reviewed before an export certificate can be issued.
Once testing is complete and approved your horse will be transported, via cargo jet airline, to one of the three USDA Quarantine Centers in the United States. After 48 hrs your horse can then be released. Mares over 2 years of age then have to undergo a further 2 weeks CEM Quarantine – Stallions approximately 6 weeks.
If you prefer not to import then don’t forget that we have a yearly selection of high quality colts and fillies available for you to choose from. If you would like to visit Meadows Ranches Friesians please call in advance to make an appointment as our busy schedule means that we may not always be available to welcome visitors without arrangement.
